Description
While opening a job in LT1, the following error appears
Error: The tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid
Cause
Microsoft’s OneDrive file-sharing service has been found to on occasion prevent LT1 opening and saving jobs.
This error is not caused by the LT1 but by a bug in Microsoft’s OneDrive.
Resolution
To fix the error, you need to run CHKDSK.
- Click
- Type cmd > right click Command Prompt > Run As Administrator
- Type chkdsk c: /r /f
- Click Enter
- Type Y
- Click Enter
- Restart your PC
If running CHKDSK doesn’t fix the issue, reset OneDrive using Microsoft’s documented instructions.
